Gingerbread Barn Kit

This kit comes with everything you need to make a festive farm, including pre-baked gingerbread cookie pieces for a barn and silo, red, pink, white, and black icing, and assorted candies. It even includes farm animal shaped cookies to decorate for extra barnyard fun!

Step-By-Step

Step 1: Icing Bag Preparation

Knead/massage icing pouch for 1 minute to a soft smooth consistency to start the flow of icing, remove the cap and snip the tip to a 1/4″ opening. Be sure not to cut the opening too large. Your icing is now ready to squeeze.

Step 2: Arrange for Assembly

Layout pieces on the table. Carefully separate attached pieces.

Step 3: Barn for Assembly

Line the 4 canals of E-Z Build® tray with a strip of icing. Pipe a thick line of icing along the edges of the reverse (unembossed side) of the front and back panels.

Step 4: Erect Walls

Using the E-Z Build® tray, insert back panel of barn into the canal, then press the side wall up against the icing strip of the back panel. Repeat process for the front and second side wall. Adjust walls to create a good rectangle prior to putting on the roof pieces.

Step 5: Add Roof

Pipe a thick line of icing along roof edges of front and back panels. Attach 4 roof panels to barn peaks and hold in place for one minute.

Step 6: Add Silo

Pipe a thick line of icing at the bottom and in the center of front panel of silo. Attach silo to the back of barn as shown.

Step 7: Complete Barn

When ready, put a strip of icing along the back and bottom of the stand as shown. Then press the stand up against the farm animal and hold in place for a minute. Repeat this step for each farm animal and tractor. Then add a strip of icing on the bottom of your figures to secure in place.

Step 8: Icing Tube Instructions

Carefully cut the end of the icing writer in small amounts, as shown above. Do not cut too large or you will lose detail when decorating. Your barn is now ready to decorate!
